The Cockeyed Bob is an Australian wind which spins quickly across the countryside picking up leaves dust and other light objects. It will then deposit them further along its journey. It is a type of wind known as a Willy Willy which may well be the original aboriginal name. As with most localised whirlwinds it spins up from the ground (as the picture shows) which distinguishes it from its more deadly associate; the tornado.
