Spaceship Earth

Welcome to SpaceShip Earth!

What is SpaceShip Earth you may ask? Well, one meaning is that the planet earth is much like a giant spaceship, which travels through space, supporting all life on it. Thus we call it SpaceShip Earth

The Story so far:    (You can also watch this in the Flash Intro, click here)

Friendly aliens, from a distant planet had long ago discovered, with a high powered telescope, and been interested in the Planet known as Earth. Eventually, they became very skilled at space travel, and constructed an inter-stellar spaceship, which they named 'SpaceShip Earth', after it's main purpose: To learn all about the incredibly unique and diverse planet Earth.

After a long journey, they finally arrived in our solar-system. After passing by the outer planets, they arrived at Planet Earth. With the assistance of 3 people, they started to learn about the planet earth. Will you join this crew and learn more about your home, Planet Earth?

Getting Around SpaceShip Earth

You are currently in the SpaceShip Earth's navigation room.

If you look at the bottom of the screen, you will see the cockpit consoles. The leftmost screen provides information about buttons in the cockpit. The column of numbers (1 to 4) are used to navigate. Simply move your mouse over one of the numbers, and the wide middle screen will display what there is to see in that section. (you can also click the numbers to be led to the first page of each section) With the big round button you can go back and forward.

The sections are as Follows:

1. The Home section.

This is where you are right now. From here, you can read about the site, and the credits. Also, if you have any questions you would like to ask, you can post them in the message board, and we will be glad to respond to them.

2. The Formation of Earth.

Here you can discover how the universe was created,
and how the Earth formed.

3. The Earth's Structure.

Part three is about the structure of the Earth and how
it works. It shows the Earth is an active planet and is
continuously changing. The information in this section
is divided into 8 parts, based on the Earth's structure.

4. Life on Earth.

The final section deals with life on Earth. It explains
how this special planet allowed for the first cells to
form, and explains how life has evolved to as it is today.

Well, that's it for the introduction. We hope you enjoy you're visit on SpaceShip Earth!
